End of July 2024, Denys Kolesnyk hosted for the MENA Research Center an online conversation to discuss global issues. The event brought together prominent experts, including Mr James Greene, a consultant and a former NATO official with extensive experience in foreign affairs, Mr Mohammed Soliman, Director of Strategic Technologies and Cyber Security Program at the Middle East Institute, and Mr Harold Hyman, a Franco-American journalist specializing in geopolitical issues. The discussion focused mainly on the US elections and the influence of the attack on Trump on political processes there, the instability in the Middle East and China’s role in this region, as well as the use of proxies and terrorism as a tool in advancing interests. The conference also addressed the general security climate in Europe and the Middle East, especially regarding a possible new US administration. Discussions explored the Israel-Palestine conflict, geopolitical tensions, and the implications of recent snap legislative elections in France on its foreign policy.
