The Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen announced Monday the start of an attack against Saudi Arabia KSA. The attack was conducted with 17 drones and rockets, where Aramco refineries were damaged in the city of Jedda and al-Jebel.
In a series of tweets on his Twitter account, the Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree’i has revealed details of the operation; he referred to targeting sensitive military sites in Khamis Mashit and Jizan areas with five 2K type marching aircraft and two Badr rockets.
“The operation continued from yesterday evening until dawn this Monday and has achieved its objectives,” Saree’I said, confirming that the operations will last “As long as the aggression and blockade against our country continue.”
The militias reported that they targeted Aramco refineries in the Jeddah and Jebel areas by 10 “Samad3” drones.
Yemen’s Houthi militias have intensified their attacks in recent weeks on locations deep inside Saudi territory. Yesterday Sunday, they announced that two marching aircraft had been targeted at the Jizan airport and King Khaled Air Base in Khamis Masheet in southern Saudi Arabia.
Two days ago, the Houthi group announced that the Drone Air Force had targeted the Saudi King Khaled Air Base in Khamis with a “Asef 2” drone.
In turn, the Saudi – led Arab coalition in Yemen yesterday announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile and six drones bombed by the Houthis towards Jazan and other areas of the Kingdom.
