Ahmet Davutoglu the head of the Turkish opposition Future Party said that politics overwhelms mosques in Turkey, pointing out that the struggle must be made within the conservative movement for freedom, as some statements by some religious figures say that criticizing the government is a “sin.”
“Autonomy for the presidency of religious affairs is the solution. It is assumed that the function of religious affairs is to protect the moral and literary values of the nation, not to read political speeches,” this is what the head of the opposition party Davutoglu confirmed.
It is noteworthy that Davutoglu was the head of the AKP ruling party before he resigned due to disagreements with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and then he established the opposition Future Party.

Davutoglu noted that he is currently under the tutelage of Erdogan’s allies and those close to him, referring to the nationalist movement and its president, Doulat Bahcheli.
“President Erdoan and AKP are responsible for the approach that targets political parties, threatens journalists, spreads violence in the streets, and criminalizes politics,” this is what Davutoglu, head of the opposition Future Party pointed out.
In recent years, the AKP has witnessed a large wave of defections, among them former Minister of Economy, Ali Babacan, and Davutoglu was the head of the ruling party before he resigned due to disagreements with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and then he established the opposition Future Party.
