A recent opinion poll has stated that 51.8% of Turks see an urgent need for early elections, due to the current conditions the country is going through.
The poll’s results conducted by the Aksoy Center have showed that “51.8% of the respondents answered yes, and 33.6% no to the question (Do you think the country needs urgent early elections)?”
“52% of the respondents believe that the ruling Justice and Development Party (APK) mismanages the country, especially its alliance with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), while 26.4% support the coalition’s rule of the country,” The poll confirms.
In turn, Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, head of the Republican People’s Party, predicted earlier, that Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Turkish President is forced to hold early elections, due to the economic conditions the country is going through.
The Turkish president rejects the opposition’s demands to hold “early elections”, as in the 2018 elections, which were held at the will of AKP, “the ruling party.” Independent opinion polls confirm that the Turkish people cannot wait until 2023 to hold presidential and parliamentary elections as scheduled.
